Cold pool water is directed through solar heating panels installed on the north-facing roof of your house. These panels heat the water before it returns to the pool, typically raising its temperature by 6-12°C. This circulation process operates continuously throughout the day, effectively warming the pool to a more comfortable temperature. Importantly, the existing pool pump is utilized, minimizing additional costs. Most installations are completed in less than 6 hours, and you can immediately feel the warmer water flowing back into your pool. As a general guideline, a 0.75 kW pump can efficiently circulate water to a single-storey roof, even while the pool cleaner is operating. This assumes the pool pump filtration system is in good condition and the pipe run along the ground does not exceed 7 meters. For two-storey installations, we recommend a 1.1 kW pump for optimal performance. While a 0.75 kW pump can still function, its efficiency in heating through the solar system may be slightly diminished. In cases where solar installation is impractical, we suggest considering the Pool Heat Pump option.
